This is a special grade energy project, group A, with a total investment of more than 856.4 billion VND, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The entire route includes 96 towers passing through 4 districts of Hanoi city: Quoc Oai, Chuong My, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin.

500kV West Hanoi - Thuong Tin transmission line project was completed and successfully energized

The project, after being completed, will meet the load growth demand of the North, especially the South Red River area including Hanoi city; strengthening the connection of the 500kV power system around Hanoi city, increasing safety, flexibility in operation and stability along with increasing production and business efficiency in general for the national power system; reducing power loss in the transmission grid. In particular, the completion of the project at this time is to supply electricity for Hanoi city on the occasion of the Lunar New Year as well as in this year's hot season, supplying electricity for economic recovery after being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
