By the end of November 2025, the plant’s cumulative output reached 2.45 billion kWh, demonstrating consistent stability throughout its operational lifespan and underscoring its vital role within the Central Region’s power system and the national grid as a whole.

Surpassing the average design output of 187.06 million kWh/year highlights the plant’s effective water resource management, accurate hydrological forecasting, and reliable operation by its leadership and technical teams—especially as the dry season approaches.

This accomplishment further strengthens Song Bung 5 Hydropower Plant’s reputation as one of the most effective and disciplined operators in the system, upholding the highest safety criteria while optimizing every kilowatt-hour sent to the national grid.

In the context of rising electricity demand and ongoing efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, this success serves as a positive signal for EVNPECC1 (the plant’s management unit), the local community, and the national power system.
