Attending the ceremony, the representative of Viet Lao Power was Mr. Phung Minh Cha - General Director. On the side of PECC1, there was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Huu Chinh - General Director, Mr. Tran Thai Hai - Deputy General Director, and representatives of the professional departments of the two parties.
The Xekaman 4 Hydropower Project will be deployed in the Xekaman River upstream, Sekong province, Lao People's Democratic Republic. The project has a total installed capacity of 80 MW with 2 units, providing an average annual energy capacity of 308.91 million kWh. Upon completion, the project will make an important contribution to the electricity supply for the power systems of Vietnam and Laos, ensuring sustainable energy and enhancing bilateral cooperation.
PECC1'S TASKS
In this project, PECC1 is assigned to provide Basic Design services according to the TOR (Terms of Reference) proposed by Laos, ensuring strict compliance with the LEPTS 2018, the Electricity Law and the Dam Safety Law of Laos. PECC1's participation not only contributes to ensuring the accuracy and safety of the design, but also optimizes the operational efficiency of the units when the project comes into operation.
SUSTAINABLE COOPERATION
PECC1 has maintained a long-term partnership with Viet Lao Power since 2010 - 2011. Over the past decade, PECC1's experts and engineers have participated in the design of a variety of key power projects in Laos. Notable milestones include the hydropower projects, such as Xekaman 1, Xekaman Sanxay, Xekaman 3, etc., and many power transmission line projects connecting Laos to Vietnam. Most recently, PECC1 also completed the consulting and survey work to prepare a Feasibility Study Report for the Xekaman 4 HPP and received high appreciation from Viet Lao Power.
POSITION AFFIRMATION
This consulting contract signing ceremony once again affirms PECC1's outstanding expertise and reputation in the field of consulting and designing power projects in the region. This is also a significant step for PECC1 to continue accompanying Viet Lao Power in future power projects.
