The project is invested to construct a new 500kV transmission line with 02 circuits, about 225.5km long, passing through the three provinces of Quang Binh, Ha Tinh and Nghe An. It has 463 tower foundation locations, in which 237 locations are on mountains, passing through many complex terrains with 197 right-of-way anchorages, of which 07 anchorages cross large rivers and lakes, and 15 anchorages cross national highways. The project was implemented from 18th January, 2024 and it was approved and agreed to energize by the Client’s Acceptance Council on 24th August, 2024. This is a project in the list of the key ones, of special importance, to ensure power supply for the northern provinces in the coming time.
With the special importance of the Project, the entire political system, ministries, sectors. localities and contractors are actively involved. At the construction sites, more than 15,000 "worker bees" have been working hard, striving with the harsh weather, not afraid of hardships, contributing their efforts together to complete the Project on schedule.

The completion and energization of the Project meeting the Prime Minister's direction is a great motivation for the entire construction site of the 500kV Transmission Line, Circuit-3 Project to complete the acceptance and inauguration in the coming days.
The 500kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project is the last component project of the 500kV Transmission line, circuit 3 project completed. Previously, those projects successfully energized included: 500kV Thanh Hoa substation on 28th June 2024; 500kV Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant - Thanh Hoa transmission line on 30th June, 2024; 500kV Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa transmission line and Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant - Pho Noi transmission line on 19th August, 2024.
